Convert A Digital Camera Memory Card To Dvd

With the steady increase in the capacity of digital camera memory cards, many cards are capable of holding hundreds of images. Rather than download them to your hard drive, another solution would be to burn the images to a DVD. You can then archive your photos for future editing or share copies of the DVD with friends and family. This article will explain convert a digital camera memory card to DVD.

Instructions

1. Insert the memory card from the digital camera into the appropriate slot on your computer's multi-card reader.

2. Launch your DVD burning software. In this example, Roxio Creator DE is used.

3. Click once on the "Data and Backup" option, and then once on "Data Disc." Different programs will have slightly different terminology for this, but the main idea is to get to the area of your program to burn a data disk.

4. Click once on the "Add Data" button and then once on "Add Files."

5. Use the "Look in" drop-down menu on the "Add Files" pop-up window to find the memory card. In this example, a "Kodak" memory card was used and is labeled as such. Click once on the icon representing the memory card.

6. Select picture files to burn to DVD by clicking once on each individual file while holding down the "Control" (Ctrl) key. To select all of the files on the memory card, click once on the first file and then once on the last file while holding down the "Shift" key.

7. Click once on the "Add" button when you have finished selecting image files from the memory card.

8. Click once on the "Burn" button when you are ready to burn the images to a DVD.

9. Make certain you have placed a blank DVD in your DVD burner drive. If you have not, the system will prompt you to do so.

10. Click once on the "Done" button after the DVD has been created.
