Wireless Cameras That Can Be Viewed On Computers

Wireless IP security cameras allow you to view their data from your computer.

Security and surveillance cameras record what's going on around your house and business. Of course, you can't always be at these locations. So if you want to be able to dial into your camera from your computer, you need to use a Network IP (Internet Protocol) camera. These cameras use your wireless network, which allows you to view what your camera is recording. You simply need to pull up the IP address for the camera.

Wireless Network Camera

The Wireless Network Camera comes with a wide dynamic-range CMOS (complementary metal oxide semiconductor) sensor, which helps you get a clear picture no matter what the light situation is. Other features of this system include weatherproof casing and an external sensor and alarm. It takes 1.3 megapixel resolution video, and supports two-way audio if you get the FireWire (Apple's high-speed serial bus) upgrade. This network camera comes with dual Motion JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group) and MPEG-4 (Motion Picture Experts Group) video streams. This camera is for medium-to-large businesses, including banks, airports, retail stores and schools

BB-HCM371A

This camera is made by Panasonic, and it has the ability move, pan or tilt in up to eight directions, allowing you to move the camera in any direction you need. It is an outdoor camera, which means it's built to withstand outdoor elements. The Panasonic BB-HCM371A is meant for small businesses and residences. If your network goes down, the camera has an SD (secure digital) memory-card slot for memory cards between 64 MB (Megabytes) to 1 GB (Gigabyte). This will record the camera's images, and it acts as a backup. You can also use this for two-way audio. Other features of this camera include the ability to monitor up to 12 cameras, and you can view up to four of these cameras at the same time on your computer screen.

AXIS 211W

This camera is for small businesses and homes. It can capture video at 30 fps (frames per second), and it uses VGA (video graphics array) resolution. The AXIS 211W transfers information via HTTPS (HyperText Markup Protocol Secure), which encrypts your data before transferring it along the bandwidth. Encryption means that your data was changed into symbols and characters, and only those with the correct passwords can decrypt the information. It is IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) 802.11b/g compliant, and comes with an outdoor antenna and protective casing. It uses dual Motion JPEG and MPEG-4 video streams.
