Transfer Pictures To A Flash Card

Transfer pictures to a flash card without any special software.

USB flash memory cards are external storage devices compatible with the USB ports on your computer. These cards can hold large amounts of data, video and audio files---comparable with DVD or CD disks---with the advantage of a small size, making them more convenient for transportation. Copying files, such as your pictures, to a flash card does not require any special software; perform this task exactly the same way as you would any file copying procedure in Windows.

Instructions

1. Insert the USB flash memory card into the USB port on your computer.

2. Navigate to the location on your hard drive that contains the pictures you want to transfer to the flash card.

3. Click the file you want to transfer, then press the "Ctrl" and "C" keys on your keyboard simultaneously to copy the file. (To copy all of the pictures, hold down the "Ctrl" key, click the files using your mouse and then press the "C" key.)

4. Click "Start," then "Computer." Double-click the icon representing the USB flash drive.

5. Press the "Ctrl"and "V" keys simultaneously to paste the files onto the USB flash card.
