Use A Pl Filter Image On A Canon Xl2

Canon Inc. is a Japanese camera company. Popular among both novice and professional photographers, Canon manufactures cameras such as the Canon XL2. Canon also produces various camera add-ons. One of the Canon add-ons used to add utility and function is the polarized (PL) filter. PL filters increase contrast when used with a Canon XL2 and are often used outdoors to darken low-contrast areas such as clouds in the sky. Knowing use a PL filter on a Canon XL2 can greatly enhance your photography.

Instructions

1. Select a polarizing filter. There are two options when it comes to PL filters: linear and circular polarizing filters. Circular filters are generally a better choice because they are compatible with the most Canon models should you want to use the PL filter with another camera.

2. Remove the PL filter from its packaging. Be careful not to touch the actual filter as any fingerprints or marks will show up on the final image. Treat the filter just as you would treat the actual camera lens.

3. Screw the PL filter to the camera lens' exterior. Check that the filter is secure.

4. Resume photography. The PL filter will now polarize all incoming light before the image hits the camera lens, effectively altering the final photograph.
