Program A Bearcat 101







The Bearcat 101 automatic scanning monitor is a receiver that can be used in an office, home or vehicle. Electra has developed exclusive frequency circuits that can accommodate "crystal controlled" operation of more than 15,000 channels without the added cost of crystals. You can change frequencies in the front panel.


Instructions


1. Push the "Ready" switch to the "down" position. You should notice a program indicator will light.


2. Push all lever switches to the "down" position.


3. Move the channel indicator manually to the channel number you want to program.


4. Look and see which frequency you want to receive on that particular channel.


5. Search the "Look Up" chart to find the desired frequency.








6. Find in the "Look Up" chart what lever switches you want to move to the "up" position. Recheck every number along with switch position to make certain everything is correct. Move lever switch #16 to the "up" position if you want "


"Rescan Delay".


7. Move momentary contact, also known as the spring return "Enter" switch to the "down" position and let go. For just about a second, the channel indicator light will go out. You have now programmed one channel.


8. Turn the "Ready" switch to the "up" position after all frequencies have been programmed. The "Program" indicator light goes off.
