Copy An Address Book To A Sim Card

Store important contacts on your device's SIM card.

Many GSM phones allow you to save your address book to the internal phone memory as well as the SIM card. While adding a new name or phone number to your contacts generally saves to the phone memory by default, you can easily copy the entry to your SIM. Copying phone book entries to your SIM ensures they are backed up in the event your device malfunctions, and also makes it easy to switch devices. Some devices require you to copy contacts individually, while others give the option to copy the entire phone book at once.

Instructions

1. Power your phone on and access your contacts. Highlight a contact entry and press "OK" to open it.

2. Open the options menu. Choose the "Copy to SIM" option and press "OK."

3. Repeat the process for each contact you wish to copy to the SIM. Some devices allow you to choose "Select Multiple" when you choose the "Copy to SIM" option. Highlight each entry to be copied, then press "OK."
