The Magellan 4250 GPS unit is a car-mountable GPS unit, with 6 million points of interests, or POIs, preloaded for the standard database, which includes the United States and Canada. You can install additional, customized POIs, also called Enhanced POIs, into the Magellan 4250's database.
Instructions
1. Create and save an Enhanced POI for the Magellan 4250 GPS by using the POI Manager software on your personal computer.
2. Load the saved Enhanced POI from your computer to an SD/MMC data storage card by following the command prompts of the POI Manager software.
3. Insert the SD/MMC data storage card into the GPS unit's SD/MMC slot, located on the left side of the Magellan 4250 GPS.
4. Select the "Points of Interest" icon from the main menu page on the Magellan 4250 GPS.
5. Select "Enhanced" from the options depicted on the "Points of Interest" menu.
6. Select "My POI" from the "Enhanced" POI options menu.
7. Select "Change My POI File."
8. Choose "Select a POI File."
9. Load your Enhanced POI file into the Magellan 4250 GPS by selecting your saved POI file.
