With Sirius, you can access hundreds of satellite radio channels.
If you have a Sirius radio adapter in your car, you want to use it. To listen to Sirius radio, you must have a subscription. A subscription gives you access to a variety of music, news, sports and entertainment channels. The plus side is that these channels are subscription free. Unfortunately, you must purchase a paid subscription to unlock your Sirius radio adapter.
Instructions
1. Enter your car and insert the key in the ignition. Drive the car to an area that does not obstruct the satellite signal. There should be no trees, garage or roof.
2. Turn on your Sirius radio. Turn it to channel 184. Look for the serial number on the display. Write down this number for reference.
3. Contact Sirius at 888-539-7474. Enter your serial number. Follow the prompts to speak with the activation department.
4. Select a plan that fits your needs and budget. As of 2010, the plans range from $6.99 a month to $19.99 a month.
5. Provide your credit card number. Once Sirius accepts your serial number and credit card number they will unlock your radio.
