Install Windows Mobile Updates On My Smart Phone

Windows Mobile is an operating system often seen on Personal Digital Assistants and Smartphones such as most HTC phones, the HP iPaq, and certain Treo models. Manufactured by Microsoft, it features programs such as the Today screen, and synchronization with Outlook. Like any other operating system, Windows Mobile software can be upgraded in order for the user to have new features and potential bug fixes of the previous software.

Instructions

1. Find the updates specific to your phone. Windows Mobile has segments of its system that are tailor-made to each phone, so you will need to find a specific update. You should be able to find an update from your phone manufacturer's website, or from your network's website.

2. Download the file to your PC.

3. Connect your Windows Mobile device to your PC using the USB cable. Wait for Activesync to finish syncing your device.

4. Double-click on the installed file to begin installing your Windows Mobile update.

5. Follow the on-screen instructions that appear. Remove the Windows Mobile device when prompted only when instructed to do so by the program.
