Directions For An Olympus 3 2 Megapixel Camera

Digital cameras have evolved greatly over the years.

Olympus is a large electronics company that produces a wide range of equipment, including digital cameras. Some of the older digital cameras capture images at 3.2 megapixels. There are not as many features as you find on cameras today, but the digital equipment is still capable of recording suitable images, which you are able to upload directly to a computer.

Instructions

1. Insert the battery into the Olympus digital camera. Depending on the camera you are using it either has a lithium-ion battery, or disposable AA batteries. Either way, flip open the battery compartment on the bottom, then slide in the battery. To charge the lithium-ion battery remove it from the camera, then slide it into the provided charger and plug the charger into a wall outlet.

2. Insert the memory card into the memory card slot on the Olympus 3.2 digital camera. Some cameras use an xD picture card, while other uses an SD card. Check the camera's user manual for the exact card required. The camera card is generally located on the side of the device, although some models have it stored in the battery compartment.

3. Press the "Power" button on the camera to turn it on. To zoom into the subject matter press and hold the "Zoom In" feature. This extends the length of the lens. Press "Zoom Out" to move away form the subject matter.

4. Hold down the "Capture" button to imprint the image onto the memory card. Repeat this process with all of the picture you want to capture (the Olyumpus 3.2 megapixel cameras have auto-focus, so you don't adjust the focus yourself).

5. Plug the provided USB data cable into a USB port on the computer, then insert the opposite end into the USB port on the Olympus digital camera. Power on the camera, if it isn't already, then click "Start," "Computer" and double-click the digital camera icon. This loads a window with all the files currently stored on the camera. Click and drag the images from the open window onto the desktop or any other location to import the files.
