Connect A Game Console To A Digital Tv Box

Digital television boxes, such as cable boxes, converter boxes or DVRs, are used to convert the digital cable signal sent by cable companies to a visual signal that can be viewed on a television screen. If you have a digital television box with input ports, it is possible to connect another audio/visual device, such as a video game console, to your television by using your digital television box as an intermediary device.

Instructions

1. Connect the data end of your video game console's RCA cable to the data port on the back of your console.

2. Connect the RCA end of your video game console's RCA cable to the RCA input port on your digital TV box. These ports can be located on the front or back of the device and will have the word "Input" printed next to them.

3. Turn your television and cable box on and make sure your cable box's signal can be seen on your television screen.

4. Press the "Video" or "Input" button on your digital TV box's remote. The exact name of this button will vary depending on your digital cable box. Turn your video game console on. You should now see the signal from your console on the television screen.
