Install Xm Radio

XM Radio is a service that more people are turning to for the best music experience. XM Radio offers hundreds of stations featuring all types of music, comedy shows and sports, offering a service for every person's taste. Since XM Radio is used within a motor vehicle, installation is required, with several different methods that can be used to get your XM service working in no time.

Instructions

1. Decide on the type of XM radio you would like to use and how you would like it to look in your car. The cassette adapter and the wireless FM modulator are the easiest to install, but for the cassette adapter, your car will need a cassette player. The FM modulator will not require a cassette player. These both cost around 20 dollars.

2. Connect the cassette adapter into the headphone jack or audio output of the XM radio receiver.

3. Place the cassette into the cassette player of your car's stereo system. Use the XM Radio system to go through the different stations.

4. Place the wireless FM modulator on your dashboard. Make sure the battery (either AA or AAA) is inserted into the modulator.

5. Place the receiver near the rear view mirror.

6. Run the wire along the top edge of your windshield, down the side to the dashboard. This is the best way to make it blend in with the interior of your car.

7. Tune your car's stereo and the modulator to the same frequency (ex: 90.5). Use the XM Radio system to go through the different stations.
