Capture From A Sony Hdrsr5







The Sony HDR-SR5 is a digital camcorder that can capture high-definition footage. The camera includes a 2.1-megapixel SMOS sensor and can capture images at a maximum resolution of 1920 by 1080 at a frame of 60 fps interlaced. It also includes a 40-GB hard drive to store all of your footage in the AVCHD file format. Once footage has been recorded, you can connect the camera to your computer and capture the footage into your editing program to edit and distribute your movies.


Instructions


1. Place the HDR-SR5 on the Handycam Station and connect the Handycam station to a power outlet with the power adapter.








2. Slide the "Power" switch on the camera to "On."


3. Connect the small end of the USB cable to the USB port on the Handycam Station and connect the other end to a USB port on your computer.


4. Turn on your computer and open your editing program. If you have a PC, Windows Movie Maker should be installed or can be downloaded for free. If you have a Mac, you can use iMovie. Other editing programs include Final Cut Pro, Avid and Adobe Premiere.


5. Click "File" and select "Import from camera" or "Import from device."


6. Select the HDR-SR5 as the camera that you want to import from.


7. Capture your footage. You can select "Import All" to import all of the footage on your device or cue up footage on your camera and capture certain clips.
