View Passwordprotected Excel Files In Windows Mobile

If you want to view password-protected Excel documents on the move, you can use your Windows Mobile device. If you have a personal digital assistant (PDA) or smartphone with the Windows Mobile operating system, then you will have the Mobile edition of Microsoft Excel pre-installed. Like the desktop version of Microsoft's spreadsheet software, Microsoft Excel Mobile can open and view password-protected files if you know the password. Entering the password for your Excel document (XLS/XLSX) on both desktop and Mobile editions of the software is a similar process.

Instructions

1. Press the menu button on your Windows Mobile device.

2. Press "Excel Mobile" to open the portable edition of Microsoft Excel.

3. Press the "Menu" button and then press "Open."

4. Locate your Excel file to open and press it to open the file.

5. Enter the password for your Excel file and then press "Open." You will now be viewing your password-protected Excel file in Windows Mobile.
