Repair An Lcd Tv Inverter

An inverter board is a rectangular circuit board used in many types of electronics to funnel power to an LCD screen. If you have a non-tube-based television, like a flat screen, it will use an inverter to operate. If the screen on your television has gone dim or dark, it is most likely the result of a faulty inverter.

Instructions

1. Power off your television, unplug it and place it facedown so that you have access to the back panel.

2. Remove all screws from the back panel of the television. If there is a base stand, remove all screws where the base stand connects to the TV and remove the base stand.

3. Remove the back panel and the internal components of the television will be visible. The square motherboard will be located in the center of the back of the TV. The rectangular inverter board will be mounted to the side of the motherboard. There may be a metal cover over the inverter.

4. Remove the screws from the inverter board cover (if there is one) and remove the cover to expose the inverter board. You will notice many cables plugged into ports on the top of the inverter board.

5. Check all cables and make sure they are securely connected to the ports on the top of the board. If they aren't, unplug them and plug them back in, making sure they are secure.

6. Reverse the steps for reassembly of the TV.
