Troubleshoot A Delphi Xm Satellite

You can solve many of your satelitte radio's issues using simple techniques.

XM Radio is a satellite radio company based in the United States. XM broadcasts over 170 channels of music, talk and sports radio. Many of XM's tuners, including the Roady and SkyFi, are manufactured by Delphi. Over time, issues may arise while using your Delphi XM Radio. Rather than sending the device back to the manufacturer, there are many factors you can troubleshoot to get your XM Radio back and running.

Instructions

1. Press the "Menu" button on your Delphi receiver to access your system settings. Go to the option titled "Line Out Level". Scroll to the right, using the trackball, to increase the audio output if the music is too low even when raising your stereo's volume. Scroll to the left to decrease audio output if you notice your music sounds crackly or hissy.

2. Move your radio's antenna to various places if you are having a hard time picking up a signal. Try putting the antenna near a window to maximize its chances of receiving signal from the satellite.

3. Contact XM (See Resources) if your device is unable to tune to any channels other than the "Preview" station. Your radio is likely needs to be activated remotely.

4. Clean your cigarette lighter or other power adapter if your device is having difficulty powering on. It is possible that dirt and debris could have gotten in between the XM receiver and the outlet, and as a result power is not flowing properly.
