Develop Aps Film

Make high-quality prints from your APS film.

APS, or Advanced Photo System, refers to a miniature film format first developed and produced by Kodak in 1994. While APS film has been largely phased out by Kodak, small quantities are still sold under the market name Advantix. Though the film's frame size is smaller than regular 35mm film, prints of acceptable quality can be made from APS film negatives. Most local one-hour and professional labs no longer offer in-house APS processing, so you will need to mail out your supply to PhotoThru or Snapfish for development.

Instructions

Using PhotoThru

1. Print the APS Film Processing Order Form available on the PhotoThru website.

2. Fill out all necessary information on the order form, including the number of film rolls included, print quantity and print size. PhotoThru will provide you with a link to an online album of your pictures if you include your email address on the form. A photo CD is included free of charge.

3. Place your APS film rolls and order form into a padded mailing envelope. Use a cardboard shipping box lined with bubble wrap if you will be mailing a bulk order.

4. Seal the envelope or box with masking tape. Make out a shipping label to the following address: PhotoThru.com, P.O. Box 1540, Warren, MI 48090-1540.

5. Place the label on the front of your envelope or box and bring it to your preferred parcel service for shipment.

Using Snapfish

6. Create an account on the Snapfish website. Registration is free of charge.

7. Log into your account homepage and click Send Film in the lower right menu box.

8. Select Get Mailers in the new window that appears and enter your mailing address. Within several days, you will receive a postage-paid mailing envelope and order form from Snapfish.

9. Fill out all necessary information on the order form. Snapfish will include a photo CD and create an online album of your pictures if you select both options on the order form.

10. Place your APS film and order form inside the mailer(s) and seal the package. Snapfish mailers arrive with a preprinted shipping address, so no label is necessary. Bring the envelope to your preferred parcel service for shipment.
