Sell A Big Screen Tv

So, you're getting rid of your big screen TV. Maybe it's too big, not big enough or maybe the new wife doesn't like it. Maybe you are just trading it in for a newer model. Either way, you need to get the word out and generate as much talk about it as possible. That's how you'll get top dollar for it. Follow these steps to sell your big screen TV.

Instructions

1. Do your research before putting your TV up for sale. Look at auction websites and in the paper for similar units (see resources below). See how much they're listed for and what features they have.

2. Determine how much your big screen TV is worth. Take into account what you paid for it, the condition and the comparisons that are on the market. Set the price.

3. Post an ad on an auction website or community posting board. Describe the condition of the TV, what it comes with and include photographs. This way, sellers will know up front what it looks like.

4. Pay for ad space in a newspaper classified section. Use descriptive and lively words to catch the readers' attention. Include your phone number.

5. Make yourself available when you get calls or emails. Let the person check out the big screen TV.

6. Get money in hand before giving the buyer the TV. If they pay with a check, make sure it clears first.
