When you have a BlackBerry Curve, you can do a lot more than just send texts to friends or chat on the phone. You also have access to BlackBerry App World, where you can select from a wide range of applications to download and use. While some of these apps are for sale, many others are completely free. Instead of spending more on your BlackBerry Curve, you can explore the possibilities offered by the free apps.
Instructions
1. Click the "BlackBerry App World" icon on your BlackBerry Curve. This icon is a black circle with seven white dots inside, similar to your BlackBerry's "Menu" button.
2. Click the "Search" icon, which looks like a magnifying glass, at the bottom of the BlackBerry App World page you just opened. Type in a word or search term describing the type of app you are looking for, then click.
3. Scroll through the results. Each one displays some basic information such as the app's name, its rating in terms of stars and its price. Free apps say "Free" in yellow on the right side of the screen.
4. Click on a free app that you want to install on your BlackBerry Curve. This opens a page with slightly more information. Click the "Download" button to download this free app. It may takes a few minutes for your phone to download and install the app, so be patient. As soon as the process is done, you can begin to use the app.
