Set Up Remote Desktop Control On An Iphone

"

Remote Desktop" describes leaving your computer on at home and controlling it over the Internet from another device connected to the Internet. You can use the iPhone as to control your computer at home. This device is a very good way to control your computer at home as it will always be online, and has a touch screen for added versatility.

Instructions

1. Turn on the computer, and navigate to "Control Panel" then "All Control Panel Items" finally ending up in "System."

2. Click on the "Remote Settings" option to the left. On the "Remote" tab, select "Allow connections from running any version of remote desktop," then click "Select users" and "Add user." Follow that prompt to add yourself as a user and assign a password.

3. Launch the "App store" on your iPhone and download "Mocha Remote Desktop." You can download either the light or full version. Once downloaded, go back to your computer and launch the "Run" menu. Type in "CMD" and then "Ipconfig." This will give you your IP (Internet protocol) address that you'll need to connect with your iPhone.

4. Activate the application once you download it on your iPhone, and type in your IP address from earlier, as well as the username and password you assigned on the computer. It may take a little while to connect depending on if you are using a WiFi, Edge or 3G connection.
