Edit A Flip Video

Flip Video camcorders allow users to record video easily with just a few button taps. The FlipShare program included with the camera bring this same ease of use to the editing process. You can edit your footage using FlipShare, trimming clips and turning a bunch of random clips into a video project.


Instructions


Trimming Clips


1. Unclick the slide button located on the side of the Flip Video camcorder to expose its USB connector.


2. Plug the USB connector into the USB port on your computer. The FlipShare program will open, showing all of the videos you recorded.


3. Click the scissors icon located on the bottom right corner of any of the videos you recorded.


4. Click and drag the tabs labeled "Start" and "End" to the left and right to establish the beginning and end of your video clip, respectively.


5. Click the "Save As" button. Enter the name of the clip and click the "Save" button.


Editing a Movie


6. Click on the "Movie" icon located in the "Create" box at the bottom of the screen.


7. Drag your video clips into the new dialog box and move them around within the box to change their order. Click on the "Next" button.


8. Check the appropriate boxes of effects you want to apply to your video, such as titles, credits or FlipShare credits. Click within the boxes and enter appropriate text. For example, enter the the names of the people within the video in the credits box. Click on the "Next" button.


9. Click on the appropriate boxes to add music to your video. You can upload an MP3 file from your computer or use some of FlipShare's music selections. Click on the "Next" button.


10. Enter the name you want to give your video into the "Name" field and click on the "Create Movie" button.
