The Sony CDX-727 10-disc CD changer is designed to work with any Sony head-unit that has CD changer controls. The CDX-727 can be mounted either horizontally or vertically to give you flexibility in installing the changer. You will need to find a a good location to mount the changer that will give you enough room to open the changer and remove the CD magazine to change your disc.
Instructions
1. Mount the CDX-727 to the spot you have selected. The changer has mounting feet on each side of the box that you can adjust up or down for your application. The feet also have screw holes to secure the changer to your vehicle. Place the screws that came with the changer into the holes and, with your power drill, screw them down into the metal of your vehicle. Make sure you are not hitting any wires or fuel tanks.
2. Plug the data cable into the changer. There is only one place the data cable will fit into the changer. The data cable will carry the signal and the power, so this will be the only cable you will need to install.
3. Run the data cable to the location of the Sony head-unit.
4. Plug the data cable into the changer output on the back of the deck. There will be only one place on the deck that the data cable will fit.
