If you are a Verizon Wireless customer and own an Android smartphone, you can download several proprietary applications to help you manage your Verizon products and services. In addition to this, the Android Market offers hundreds of apps that you can download to your phone to keep entertained, informed, connected or organized directly from your phone.
Verizon Apps
Verizon provides several apps to its customers for use on Android phones. For example, the My Verizon app allows you to view information about your account. You can use it to check your balance and make payments, view or change features on your accounts and view your usage. Android offers a similar app to customers of its home -- television and phone -- services. Verizon's FiOS DVR Manager allows customers with FiOS TV service to control their DRV from their phones. Among other features, you can search for and record series or individual episodes or set parental controls from your Android device. Last, Skype and Verizon have paired to allowed you to make calls and messages via Skype on your Verizon phone. You can also use the Skype Mobile on Verizon App to make internal calls for a low fee.
Games

There are numerous Android apps that you can install on a Verizon-branded phone that do not easily fit into a category.
