Transfer Files To An Sd Memory Card For My Cell Phone

SD memory cards come in several sizes. The size that is used for cell phones is the microSD memory card. This is because the card is much smaller than a full-size SD card, so it can be inserted into the cell phone without taking up too much room. The microSD card is used to hold media files that can be viewed on your cell phone. Make sure to check the user manual to see what capacity microSD cards your cell phone can handle.

Instructions

1. Insert the microSD card into the cell phone's memory card slot. Depending on the model of phone, the card slot may be on either side of the phone or under the battery cover on the back of the phone.

2. Connect a USB cable from the phone to the computer.

3. Double-click "My Computer," then double-click the cell phone drive. If you are not sure which drive is your cell phone's unplug it, then replug it to the computer. The drive will disappear, then reappear.

4. Double-click "My Computer" again to open a second window, then navigate to the files that you want to transfer.

5. Click on the file(s) you want to copy. Press "Ctrl" while clicking to select multiple files. Right-click one of the selected files and click "Copy."

6. Click the window for your cell phone's drive, then right-click and select "Paste."

7. Click the "Safely remove hardware" icon in the bottom right corner of the screen in the system icon tray. The icon is a gray rectangle with a green arrow above it pointing to the left. From the list of the devices that pops up, click the cell phone drive, then disconnect the phone when the computer says it is safe to do so.
