Repair The L11 Coolpix

There are a few issues that you may encounter while trying to use the Nikon COOLPIX L11 digital camera. Some of the issues include the camera not running or shutting off after a few minutes of use, pictures coming out blurry, problems with getting the camera to focus and pictures coming out too dark or too bright. Fortunately, there are steps you can take to solve these issues.

Instructions

1. Replace the batteries if your camera does not start or powers down after a few minutes of use. Turn the camera upside down and open the battery compartment lid. Remove the current batteries and replace them with two fresh AA batteries. Close the battery compartment lid.

2. Clean the lens if images are turning out blurry. Use a blower to remove excess dust and dirt from the lens. A blower is typically a tube with a rubber bulb attached to one end of it. You squeeze this bulb, causing air to blow out the other end. Take a soft cloth and use it to wipe off any fingerprints or other smudges on the lens. Wipe in a spiral motion, starting from the center of the lens and working your way to the edges. If the lens are still dirty, lightly dampen a cloth with commercial lens cleaner fluid and wipe the lens.

3. Press the power button to turn the camera off if you are having trouble getting the camera to focus. Press the power button again to turn the camera back on, resetting the focus.

4. Adjust the exposure compensation if pictures are too bright or too dark. Press the "+/-" button to the right of "OK" on the camera's front panel. Select the multi-selector up option to adjust the compensation if pictures are coming out too dark or select the multi-selector down option to adjust if pictures are coming out too bright. Press "OK" when you get to the desired setting.
