Use A 4gb Microsd

Digital cameras are increasingly popular as features improve and the designs get smaller and sleeker, according to Burt Helm's Business Week article, "Latest Digital Cameras Look Good, Work Hard." Also, with newer "Ultra-Zoom" and "Super-Zoom" models becoming an "exploding niche in the camera market," according to Today editor Paul Hochman, it doesn't appear that digital cameras will be running out of new features in the future. However, even with many advanced features, digital cameras typically come with low built-in memory, according to Forbes' "Digital Camera Guide," and it's recommended you "get the biggest card you can afford." For many people, this equates to a high-capacity 4GB MicroSD card. After purchasing this storage device, it is relatively easy to use it in conjunction with your digital camera.

Instructions

1. Consult your digital camera's manual to determine where the MicroSD slot is on your camera. For many cameras, the memory card slot is housed alongside your batteries in an internal compartment.

2. Insert your 4GB MicroSD card into the slot top-first. The "top" of the card is slightly angled, almost like a small chunk was taken out of the otherwise rectangular card. If the card does not fit, do not force it; chances are that you're inserting it incorrectly.

3. Close the MicroSD compartment. You can now begin taking pictures. Your digital camera will automatically begin saving to the inserted card rather than to your onboard memory.

4. Connect your camera to your computer with a USB cable to access the photos on your MicroSD card after you've finished taking pictures.

5. Click on the "Start" button and select "Computer" in Vista or "My Computer" in XP.

6. Double-click on the camera icon, located underneath the "devices with removable storage" heading. This will show you all the photographs currently on your camera's installed MicroSD card, allowing you to edit, copy, paste and delete images as necessary.
