Format An Sd Card On Z6

SD card

Secure digital (SD) memory cards are small rectangular disks that provide additional storage space for mobile devices. Formatting an SD card for a Konica Minolta Z6 or any other mobile device requires a computer with an SD card reader. The SD Association website provides an SD card formatting application, free of charge for download from their site. Using the SD Card Formatter, the SD card may be configured for use in the mobile device.

Instructions

1. Remove the SD card from the Z6.

2. Open an Internet browser on the computer and navigate to the URL for the SD Formatting program. (See Resources.)

3. Download and install the utility on the computer.

4. Launch the "SD Formatter" from the Programs list or from the desktop shortcut, if created. The SD Formatter application launches on the desktop.

5. Insert the SD card into the SD card opening on the computer or on the external card reader.

6. Click "Options" in the SD Formatter interface and select a formatting selection from the drop-down box. Select either "Quick, Full (Erase)" or "Full (Non-Erase)."

7. Adjust the "Format Size Adjustment" option either "On" or "Off" using the drop-down box list.

8. Click the "OK" button.

9. Click "Format" to proceed with formatting the card. When formatting is complete, a notification box will appear.

10. Eject the card from the computer card slot and insert it into the slot on the Z6. The SD card is now ready to be utilized by the Z6 device.
