Whether your Nokia N95 cell phone is experiencing software glitches or you want to wipe it clean before selling it, formatting will clear all user data. After a format, the Nokia N95 will return to manufacturer defaults, though it won't erase the data you had on your SIM card or in removable memory. Users have found that some cell phone reset methods don't work when they try them, so there are several methods for formatting your Nokia N95. If one method doesn't work, move on to the next.
Instructions
Soft Reset
1. Make sure that your Nokia N95 is turned on and in standby mode.
2. Type *#7370# on the phone's keypad.
