Do A 360 Degree Panoramic

Use a digital camera to create a 360-degree panoramic image.

A 360-degree panoramic image is a picture that includes a scene that spans a complete circle around one central point. You can create a panoramic by piecing together multiple digital images taken with a digital camera that overlap each other slightly. Windows computers include the Windows Live Photo Gallery, which allows you to take a group of photos and put them together as a panoramic on your computer.

Instructions

1. Take photos with your digital camera of the scene you want to turn into a panoramic. Choose one spot to stand in and slowly take photos, rotating in a full circle. Be sure that some of each photo overlaps a bit of the scene in the previous photo for best results.

2. Connect your digital camera to your computer with the USB transfer cable and turn the camera on.

3. Launch Windows Live Photo Gallery on your computer.

4. Click "File," then choose "Imports from camera or scanner."

5. Select your camera from the list of devices.

6. Click "Review, organize, and group items to import" and select the photos you took for your panorama.

7. Click "Import" and allow Windows Live Photo Gallery to import your photos from your camera.

8. Press and hold the "Ctrl" button, then click each photo to highlight them all as a group.

9. Click "Make" in the top toolbar, then click "Create a panoramic photo." The program will automatically stitch the images together.

10. Type a name and choose a folder to save your panorama photo.

11. Click "Fix" and choose "Crop photo."

12. Click and drag across your photo to highlight the area you want to keep, then click the "Apply" button to crop off the extra edges of your panorama.

13. Click "Back to gallery" to save the changes to your new panorama.
