Set Up A Nikon D200

Nikon offers a number of functions with its digital cameras.

The Nikon D200 is a digital camera launched by Nikon in 2005. Compared to the prior D100 model, the D200 offers improvements such as enhanced autofocus and improved resolution. The unit offers fully manual, semi-manual and automatic modes for image capturing and is an ideal choice for beginners as well as professionals.

Instructions

1. Charge the lithium-ion battery. Slide the battery into the Nikon battery charger and plug the charger into a switch. The battery is ready for use when the orange light glows steadily.

2. Insert the charged battery into the Nikon D200. Press the release lever at the bottom of the camera to open the battery compartment. The compartment only accommodates the battery if it is inserted correctly. Shut the compartment and snap the release lever back to lock the compartment.

4. Insert the memory card into the memory slot on the right side of the D200. The memory card will click lock inside the memory slot.

5. Rotate the switch on the upper right side of the D200 to the "ON" position to switch on the camera.

6. Adjust the mode to manual, semi-manual or automatic. Rotate the dial on the right of the camera while pressing the mode button to switch between modes.

7. Adjust image quality. Rotate the dial while pressing the "QUAL" button. Choose the level of image quality from JPEG to RAW+JPEG formats. The D200 is ready for use.
