The digital picture frame feature is one of the lesser-known benefits of owning an Apple iPad. The iPad's large, high-definition screen shows off your photography and makes the iPad ideal to serve as a digital picture frame. The feature, which is built into the iPad settings menu, is simple to adjust and manipulate.
Instructions
1. Load photos onto the iPad to use it as a digital picture frame. Import photos from your computer using iTunes or download them from the web. Create original images using applications that allow you to draw, paint or manipulate photos.
2. Tap "Settings" on the iPad home screen. Tap "Picture Frame" in the left column to reveal the settings for the feature. Choose a preferred transition, the length of time to display each photo and the photo album to use.
3. Put your iPad to sleep by pressing the "Sleep/Wake" button on the top of the device.
4. Wake up the iPad by pressing the home button. Rather than activating the "Slide To Unlock" slider, tap the flower icon to the right of the slider to activate the digital slide show.
5. Place the iPad somewhere it is visible to enjoy your photos.
