Take Polaroid pictures with your SX-70.
Introduced in 1972, the Polaroid SX-70 is a collapsible camera that produces instant pictures. It was a revolution for Polaroid because it was the company's first motorized camera and first collapsible SLR (single-reflex lens, a semi-auto moving mirror system). Although the SX-70 has been discontinued, amateur photographers as well as professionals still use it today. For instance, Michael Going takes advantage of the unusually long "fix time" of the old Polaroid film and alters the pictures as they set.
Instructions
1. Hold the viewfinder (the smaller box located on top of the larger box) with your thumb and forefinger.
2. Pull the bottom end of the viewfinder away from the body until you hear and feel a click. This is the leg of the body expanding and locking in place.
3. Pull the metal leg, located on the outside end of the body, toward you (if you're looking through the viewfinder) to collapse the leg. Push the viewfinder back down and the camera will return to its original position.
