Many big screen projector TVs and regular big screen TVs will have lenses and other parts inside the machine, which can get dirty over time. This dirt and dust build-up will make the picture blurry and poor. But, you don't need to spend thousands of dollars on a new TV set or even need to hire a repairman. Cleaning these lenses will only take about an hour of your time.

1. Unplug the projector and TV. Use the screwdriver to unscrew the back cover of the TV set. Take off the back cover.
2. Use the plastic- or rubber-handle screwdriver to touch any metal components your hands may come in contact with inside the TV. Be very careful---there still may be electricity build-up that can injure you. Touching the screwdriver to these components first will safely discharge the electricity.
3. Locate the lenses inside the main box area. Most TVs will have three lenses and a mirror inside. The lenses will be about the same size as a camera lens.
4. Place a few drops of the camera lens cleaner on the lint-free cloth. Gently wipe down the lenses until they are clean and free of dust. Clean the small mirror with the same cloth and cleaner.
5. Put the back cover on again and screw the screws back in place.
