The Motorola TLKR T7 is a two-way radio device consisting of two walkie-talkies and a charging cradle. Typically, when someone asks about "opening" the TLKR T7, he is referring to opening the back of one or both walkie-talkies to install or replace the nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) rechargeable battery pack or four AAA alkaline batteries that power each device. Motorola has designed each walkie-talkie battery compartment door with a simple latch that unlocks with a single press of a fingertip. To open your TLKR T7 unit(s), you simply have to unlock and remove the door.
Instructions
1. Turn the "Volume" knob all the way counterclockwise on one of your Motorola TLKR T7 walkie-talkie to turn it off. If you have a belt clip attached, remove it from the device and set it aside.
2. Hold the walkie-talkie with the front of the device facing away from you and the bottom end pointing up.
3. Push the battery compartment release tab on the door to unlock it from the device, then lift the door away and set it aside. Install, or remove and replace, the NiMH battery pack or 4 AAA alkaline batteries.
4. Repeat this process with the second walkie-talkie if necessary.
