Correct the recording issues with your camera.
Aiptek MP3 video cameras are not portable audio devices, but instead are small video cameras that save onto a small memory card. The video is compressed when recorded and saved in an MPEG format. Occasionally, when using the video camera you can run into issues with the device's performance, ranging from the audio being unclear to the camera failing to turn on.
Instructions
1. Replace the batteries on your Aiptek video camera. The camera takes standard AA batteries, so you shouldn't have any issue finding replacements. When using the flip-out LCD screen, the batteries can die quickly.
2. Avoid holding your hand over the small microphone holes in the front of the camera. This covers the audio recording and results in terrible sound. The microphone isn't the best, so covering it during the recording process is only going to make the audio worse.
3. Avoid zooming in with the camera. The zoom is digital, so it actually just zooms into the image you are recording, instead of the lens moving (as with a standard zoom). When using an actual zoom, the image becomes pixelated.
4. Change the memory card. Once the card is full, you can't record any additional footage.
5. Clean the lens with a soft cloth. Having dust or gunk on the lens results in spots on the recorded video.
