If you enjoy both bicycling and photography, you can combine the two by mounting a camera on your bicycle. It is a simple process to attach the camera to the handlebar. Plus it's a great way for you to get some good shots of places you go with your bicycle.
Instructions
1. Choose a camera to mount. It should be one that is fairly lightweight and is easy to operate. If you attach a camera that is too heavy, it makes it harder to keep it steady to take pictures on the go.
2. Slide the hose clamp on the handlebar. Use a permanent marker to mark the location on the handlebar. Hold the camera at the desired height. Choose a bolt long enough to reach the desired height. Slide the hose clamp back off again.
3. Drill a ? inch hole in the clamp. Make sure there are no rough edges. Put the bolt through the hole. Secure it with a lock washer and a wing nut.
4. Cut a piece of rubber tubing the width of the hose clamp. Slide it onto the handlebar where you made the marks. Put the clamp around the rubber tubing. Tighten it securely in place with a screwdriver. The ? inch bolt should be facing straight up.
5. Put the remaining wing nut on the bolt upside down. Wind it about1/2 inch down the bolt's shaft. Set the washer in place on top of it. Screw the camera on the bolt. Tighten the second wing nut and washer to hold it securely in place.
6. Enjoy your bicycle ride and the pictures you take of it. Periodically check to make sure the wing nuts remain tight on the camera.
