It's important to keep your portable DVD player charged so that it can be used.
Your Audiovox PVD73 portable DVD player comes with an internal battery that you can charge whenever it begins to lose power. The DVD player can be used while either plugged into an outlet or on the go, running completely on battery power. The battery included is rechargeable, so it has a longer shelf life than the typical disposable battery purchased in stores. Make sure that it is charged indoors at room temperature to get the most life out of your battery.
Instructions
1. Turn the DVD player off by pressing the power switch located on the side of the unit. The battery charges faster if the DVD player is not in use at the time of the charge.
2. Plug the input part of the AC power cord into the circular outlet located in the back of the DVD player. Plug the other end of the power cord into a free outlet.
3. Close the screen lid of the DVD player so that it isn't accidentally damaged and so that power is conserved.
4. Take note of the power light on the side of the player. When charging, the light glows a solid red. This is the same light that blinks red when indicating a near-dead battery. If your light is solid red, let it sit and allow the power outlet to provide power to the player and recharge the battery.
5. Wait a few hours while the battery charges. After letting it sit, check the power light again. If the light is now glowing a solid greenish yellow, then the player is adequately charged and ready for use.
