Format A Fuji Sd Memory Card For A Digital Camera

Format your SD memory card to create more space.

Fugi offers a wide range of SD (Secure Digital) memory cards. The memory cards are most commonly used to store pictures from digital cameras, but they can also be used as a storage unit for important files, such as documents or applications. When the memory card becomes full, or perhaps you just do not need the data anymore, the best way to remove all the data is to format the entire card. Formatting a Fuji SD memory card takes a few clicks of the mouse and leaves you with the original amount of storage on the card.

Instructions

1. Close all running and open applications on your computer to avoid loss of work while formatting the memory card.

2. Insert the memory card into the built-in memory card slots within your computer. If your computer is not equipped with built-in memory card slots, plug a memory card reader into the USB slot and then insert the memory card into the memory card reader.

3. Go to "Start" and then "My Computer" to display a list of active drives on your computer. Right-click on the memory card; the drive will be labeled "SDCard" or simple "SD." From the list of options, select "Format." This will begin the format process.

4. Click "Format" on the box that appears showing the memory cards statistics. Allow the program to completely format the card. You will be prompted to remove the card once finished.
