Troubleshoot A Jvc Digital Camcorder

JVC is a large electronics company that produces a wide range of devices, including digital video camcorders. If you are using a camcorder from the company, you may run into capture problems, ranging from error messages stating the camera is unable to perform the desired action, to out-of-focus images. When this occurs, you must fix the problem in order to return the JVC device back to its standard functionality.

Instructions

1. Delete old video files. JVC camcorders have built-in hard drives that, over time, fill up with recorded video. When the hard drive is full, you receive an error message stating you are unable to record the video content. Press the "Menu" button, then choose "View" and select old video files. Push "Delete" to rid the hard drive of the old content.

2. Wipe off the lens with a lens cleaning cloth. If the image is out of focus, it is because the lens is being drawn to dust and other debris stuck to the glass on the lens. Cleaning it prevents this from happening in the future.

3. Recharge the battery. If the JVC camcorder shuts down unexpectedly, it is do to the battery beginning to fail.

4. Replace the lithium-ion battery in the JVC digital camcorder. Over time, the battery holds less and less of a charge, eventually being unable to record without staying connected to the power outlet.
