Set Up A Panasonic Blc131a

The Panasonic BL-C131A system features a network-ready camera that may be broadcast over a local network or the Internet. The camera includes an infrared temperature sensor and a motion detector that can trigger the camera to begin recording information whenever a person or animal walks in front of the camera.


Instructions


1. Enable the Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) networking protocol in your router. Refer to your router's instruction manual if you don't know enable UPnP.


2. Switch the "Wireless/Wired" switch on the bottom of your camera to the Wired setting.


3. Plug one end of your LAN cable into the jack on the left side of your camera unit and plug the other end of the cable into an open port on your router.


4. Plug the included AC power adapter into the jack on your camera unit. Plug the AC adapter into a power outlet.


5. Select a location for your camera. The camera is equipped with a built-in sensor that automatically saves camera images to memory when temperature differences emitted by people or animals are detected. Avoid choosing a location that is exposed to direct sunlight, humidity or sharp air temperature changes.


6. Mount the camera in the location that you would like to record. You may mount the unit directly into a wall by screwing the included screws through the included washers. You should also screw the camera's attached safety wire into the wall in case the primary screws fail.


7. Insert the BL-C131 software CD into your computer. Placing the CD in your computer's CD-ROM drive will automatically initialize the installation program.


8. Follow the on-screen prompts to install the camera management software to your computer. Running this software will prompt you to provide network information required to set up your camera system for initial use. It can also be used change camera settings, including specification of a location for saving images when the infrared sensor or motion detector is triggered.
