Canceling your Sirius XM must be done over the phone with a live operator.
Sirius XM purports to supply over 130 commercial-free satellite radio stations to over 19.5 million subscribers. Subscriptions are charged at a monthly rate under an agreed-upon contract. These contracts are automatically renewed for an additional, equal length of the original terms. To avoid continued billing, you must cancel your account over the phone. Early termination may be subject to an early termination fee, and you will still be responsible for any outstanding charges or fees accrued. Cancellation will come into effect at the beginning of your next billing cycle.
Instructions
1. Call Sirius XM at 1-888-539-7474.
2. Enter your account number and/or your telephone number for verification purposes.
3. Choose to manage your account, and then select to cancel. You will be directed to a live operator, who will likely try to keep you as a customer. Just politely tell the operator that you would like to cancel your subscription.
4. Pay the early termination fee, if applicable. As of December 2010, the early termination fee was $75. You will also be responsible for any accrued charges or fees. If you are under contract for a set multi-month period, such as with a special offer, then you may be obligated to continue paying for those months.
5. Write Sirius a cancellation letter, if you would like a record of your cancellation. Send the letter as certified mail to:

This step is optional, but it will offer you better proof of your request, should your account not be terminated as requested.
