The Palm Treo 700p smartphone has a touchscreen for opening applications, inputting data and making selections. When starting the phone for the first time, you are prompted to calibrate the touchscreen to ensure the phone correctly reads where you tap on the screen. Though the calibration process is short, some users may need to get right to the Treo 700p home screen. You can skip the touchscreen calibration when first starting up the phone.
Instructions
1. Press and hold the "Power/End" button to start up the phone. The "Tap the Target" application for calibrating the touchscreen will appear as the phone boots up.
2. Remove the stylus from the back corner of the Treo 700p by pulling it up out of the holder.
3. Tap the "Done" button located in the bottom left corner of the screen to skip calibrating the touchscreen on the Treo 700p. The phone will finish booting and open your home screen after skipping calibration.
