Just because you're traveling away from home doesn't mean you have to miss your favorite shows. All you need is a Slingbox to enable you to watch television on a laptop.
Instructions
1. Go to the Slingbox website to download the Slingbox software if you don't have the Slingplayer CD-ROM. Typically, the Slingplayer CD-ROM comes with the purchase of a Slingbox and is compatible with most PCs. However, you must download the software if you use a MacBook laptop.
2. Insert the Slingplayer CD-ROM into the disk drive on your laptop. The installer program starts automatically and the Slingplayer software begins loading onto your laptop.
3. Follow the on-screen prompts to set up the software. The software asks you for the finder ID of your Slingbox to complete installation. To locate the ID, open your Slingbox directory, click on the Slingbox and select Edit Properties." Your ID is in the connection tab.
4. Enter your ID when prompted by the Slingbox software.
5. Remove the CD-ROM once the installation is complete. Keep the disk in a safe place in case you must reinstall the software.
