Copy Xray Film

Technologists expose and develop x-ray films.

Copying x-ray film can be done in many ways, but the most common and fastest is through the use of any automatic processor. Processing x-ray film transforms a latent image into a visible image. Agitating chemicals throughout the processor wash over the film and develop the image. Most modern processors can develop and fix an image within 90 seconds.

Instructions

1. Inspect the chemical tanks and make sure that both are filled above the cut-off levels. Refill the developing tank with x-ray developer if low. Refill the fixing tank with x-ray fixer if low.

2. Enter the darkroom and close the door behind you tightly. Retrieve the duplicating film from the film box. Close the film box doors. Failure to secure the film box doors will result in exposure of all unexposed film. Load the x-ray film into the film copier on the top of the duplicating film and press the expose button.

3. Remove the duplicating film from the copier after the expose light extinguishes. Place the duplicating film into the automatic processor and press the feed button.

4. Exit the darkroom after you hear the buzzer on the automatic processor. Wait for the film to drop and inspect it for quality and dryness at the end of the cycle.
