Get Scanner Software for a Lexmark X4650
The Lexmark X4650 is an all-in-one printer that lets you perform a number of tasks, including printing, scanning and copying. You don't need multiple devices or use an outside printing/scanning service to get tasks done. To use your Lexmark X4650, download and use its scanner software containing drivers for interfacing the printer with your computer and utilities for scanning and modifying documents. The software is available from a number of websites for free.
Instructions
Downloading the Software From Lexmark -- Mac, Windows and Linux
1. Open your computer's Internet browser. Click the "LEXMARK X4650 -- Drivers" link in the Resource section.
2. Click the "Macintosh," "Microsoft" or "Linux/Unix" tab on the "Lexmark X4650" website. Click the driver/software you want to download under the tab, then click "Download Now."
3. Click "Save" or "Save As" when the "Opening "XXXXX.dmg," "XXXXX.exe" or "XXXXX.gz" dialog box appears.
4. Navigate to the directory containing the downloaded file. Double-click the file's name to start the Lexmark software installation process.
5. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation process. Click "Finish" when prompted.
Downloading the Software From Famous Why -- Windows Only
6. Open your computer's Internet browser. Click the "Lexmark X4650 All-in-One Driver 1.2.5.2 Download" link in the Resource section.
7. Click the "External Download Link 1" link. Click "Save" or "Save As" when the "Opening cj4600en32.exe" dialog box appears.
8. Navigate to the directory containing the downloaded file. Double-click the file's name to start the Lexmark software installation process. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation process.
9. Click "Finish" when prompted.
Downloading the Software From Soft82 -- Windows Only
10. Open your computer's Internet browser. Click the "Soft82 -- Lexmark X4650 All-in-One Driver" link in the Resource section.
11. Click "Free Download." Click "Mirror 1" then click "Save" or "Save As" when the "Opening cj4600en32.exe" dialog box appears.
12. Navigate to the directory containing the downloaded file. Double-click the file's name to start the Lexmark software installation process. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation process.
Click "Finish" when prompted.
