Put The Nerf Long Shot Back Together

Put the Nerf Long Shot Back Together

The Nerf-brand Long Shot toy rifle is an impressive looking weapon that shoots safe, foam Nerf-brand darts. A full disassembly is required in order to regularly clean and maintain the Long Shot. The reassembly shouldn't damage any of the parts, since the manufacturer produced the toy with disassembly and reassembly in mind. No special tools are required, nor do you need any expertise in how the spring-powered mechanism of the rifle works.

Instructions

1. Place the Nerf Long Shot frame on a table with the open side facing up and the barrel tip facing left. Place the trigger assembly into the bottom of the frame, just behind the magazine clip compartment. Screw the two screws of the trigger guard into the frame with a Phillips screwdriver.

2. Reattach the two screws around the magazine clip compartment that is to the left of the trigger assembly.

3. Place the locking plate into the lower edge of the frame, just in front of the trigger guard. Drive the screw into the locking plate with the screwdriver to secure it to the frame.

4. Insert the ejector rod into the open mouth of the cylinder. Reattach the screw to secure the ejector rod in the cylinder.

5. Hold the cylinder horizontally so that the side where the ejector rod was inserted is facing left.

6. Place the cylinder into the depression running along the upper inside edge of the frame. Push the left end of the cylinder beneath the locking tab to secure its left side.

7. Place the circular ring into the top right edge of the frame, just beneath the hammer, to secure the right side of the cylinder into the frame.

8. Place the Nerf Long Shot cover on the frame so that the barrel sides match up. Press down on the cover to seat it correctly on the frame.

9. Reattach a screw just below the tip of the barrel, another screw around the trigger guard and another screw below the hammer at the right lower edge. Reattach the two screws on the handle butt.

10. Reattach a screw just above the tip of the barrel, another screw at the upper middle edge and another screw above the hammer at the right upper edge. Insert the magazine clip into the magazine compartment.
