Convert Olympus Lenses To Nikon

Photographers can use different brand camera lenses on their camera.

Photographers like to use different lenses from other manufacturers for various reasons. Some lenses, regardless of maker, are just sharper, faster or easier to use than others. Still some photographers just have other lenses that they would like to use on their newer equipment. Thankfully, there are adapters that make different manufacturers' materials compatible, such as an Olympus lenses on a Nikon camera body.

Instructions

1. Purchase an Olympus to Nikon lens adapter from a camera dealer. Bring the lens and the camera body to the camera shop so the dealer can fit the right adapter to it. There are many different kinds available so you want to make sure you buy the right one.

2. Connect the Olympus to Nikon lens adapter to the Nikon camera body by aligning the index marks on the adapter with the index marks on the camera body. Turn the adapter until it locks into place.

3. Connect the Olympus lens to the adapter by aligning the index marks on the lens with the index marks on the adapter. Turn the lens until it locks into place.

4. Turn on the camera, and start focusing on an image. Some older Olympus lenses will only work using the manual function because the newer Nikon camera bodies are not programmed to control older lenses. Take a few practice shots to get a handle on the process.
