Take Away Permanent Apps From My Iphone

Your iPhone comes with pre-installed apps so that you can use your device instantly. By default, the Mail, Phone, iPod and Safari apps dock below other core apps on your main Home screen. Depending on your iPhone, these core apps may include App Store, Calendar, Camera, Clock, Compass, Contacts, Game Center, iTunes, Maps, Notes, Photos, Settings, Stocks, Weather and YouTube. While you can rearrange factory-installed apps on your Home screens, you can't delete them. You can, however, move infrequently used core apps to a distant Home screen, out of sight and separated from the third-party apps you heavily use.

Instructions

1. Launch iTunes on your computer and then connect your iPhone to it. In iTunes, click your iPhone under Devices in the left pane and then select the Apps tab above the main pane on the right.

2. Navigate from screen to screen using the Home screen index on the extreme right. Locate the permanent apps you want to hide. Click an unwanted core app when you find it and then drag it to the empty screen at the bottom of the navigator. If you find several unwanted permanent apps on a single screen, control-click each one and then drag the apps as a group to the empty screen. To deselect any app, control-click it again.

3. Select the last screen in the Home screen navigator on which you have collected all your unwanted core apps. Click and drag any one app over another to create a folder. Rename your folder appropriately; for example, "No-Need Apps." Click outside the folder to grab another unwanted app to drag into the folder. Repeat this process until all unneeded core apps are within the folder.

4. Click "Apply" on the lower right to sync your iPhone to iTunes and copy your new arrangement and folder to your device. Check your iPhone afterward to confirm that you have successfully pulled all your unwanted permanent apps out of the way and out of sight on your most distant Home screen.

5. Move your unwanted-apps folder to the next available empty screen when new third-party apps begin to encroach on it. On your iPhone, press and hold the folder until all apps on the screen begin to wiggle. Then press and drag the unwanted-apps folder to the right edge of your screen to drop it on a new empty screen. Press the "Home" button to save your new arrangement; it will copy over to iTunes the next time you sync your iPhone.
