Sd Memory To A Tomtom 125

You can add memory to the TomTom 125 GPS system to store additional maps, applications, voice files and points of interest. The capacity of the SD card should be determined by the size of the map. If you don't want to be advised of a freeway exit after you have passed it, you should get the highest speed memory card available.

Instructions

1. Go to the TomTom Web shop and select the map you're interested in. The size of the map will be listed.

2. Purchase a card that has sufficient capacity to hold the map you want.

3. Insert the SD memory card into the TomTom. The slot is on the bottom of the device next to the USB connector.

4. Switch to Memory Card on TomTom's Home menu by clicking on Device and selecting Change Device. The available memory will be displayed. One will be the card you just inserted.

5. Install the map by connecting the TomTom to your computer. Make sure that you have Home installed on your PC. It is on the disc that came with your TomTom. Home will automatically run when the PC detects the TomTom. All of your updates will be listed on the next screen, one of which will be the map you purchased.

6. Click "Update and Install" and Home will download the updates. The download will be confirmed in a dialog box. Click on Done. Disconnect the TomTom from the PC.
