Troubleshoot A Card Lock On A Canon Powershot Sd750

The lock is on the left side of the SD card.


Canon's PowerShot SD780 is one of the thinnest cameras in Canon's lineup. The camera has a 12.1 megapixel sensor and can output High Definition (HD) video. The camera uses SD (Secure Digital) memory cards to store images. The SD cards used in the Canon Powershot SD780 can be locked to prevent images being erased inadvertently. You can troubleshoot the card lock on the Canon Powershot SD780 by following a few steps.


Instructions








1. Try to erase an image. Choose the "Select" menu item and press the "FUNC/SET" button. Then press the left and right arrows to choose the image. Once the image appears, press the "FUNC/SET" button and a tick-type check mark will appear on the screen. Press the "Menu" button. The "Erase" confirmation screen will appear. Choose "OK" with the left and right buttons on the Canon Powershot SD780 and then press "FUNC/SET" The image will be deleted if the card lock is off.


2. Unlock the card lock if the image couldn't be deleted in Step 1. Remove the card from the camera and slide the lock switch to the down (unlock) position with your finger nail. The lock is on the left side of the SD card in the top third.








3. Insert the card back into the camera and try the erase function again by following Step 1.
